On the one hand, the standard speakers are relieved because they only have to play in their native frequency ranges and are freed from bass reproduction - that alone already provides significantly more sound quality.\u003cbr\u003eOn the other hand, they are driven with significantly more power. This is processed by a digital sound processor (DSP) arranged on the same board, with 56-bit resolution and 50 MIPS of computing power, which optimises the frequency responses for the respective vehicle interior. The reconversion into analogue signals to drive the speakers is carried out via low-noise 24-bit digital-to-analogue converters.\u003cbr\u003eNeither undervoltage nor overvoltage can harm the amplifier; it is insensitive to short circuits to earth or positive and has overtemperature protection. The subwoofer placed under the passenger seat features a bass-reflex construction with a high-pass filter, measures 8 litres net volume and has a load capacity of 100 watts sine. The impedance of the 165-millimetre woofer is twice two Ohm. Its hand-crafted cellulose cone is particularly torsionally rigid, is reliably guided even at large excursions by a long-term-stable rubber surround and is protected by a steel cover. The drive is provided by a dual voice coil in combination with a particularly generously dimensioned ferrite magnet, which results in optimal Thiele\/Small parameters. The high-pass filter ensures a lower cut-off frequency and higher maximum sound pressure with reduced distortion.
