Remarkably elegant with its base and slightly inclined column of chrome-plated steel, it allows an effective placement in the room and easy viewing of the cartography even while standing. The exceptional cartography is designed in grey and white; when unlit, the oceans are white and the continents grey. When the lighting is switched on, only the continents are brightly illuminated, while the seas remain dark. The labelling is in English; in addition to the country name, the international dialling code and internet domain are shown (e.g. 49/Germany.de).
The sphere, with a diameter of 30 cm, is illuminated by an LED and thus allows the object to be used as a fully fledged floor lamp, switched on and off with a foot switch.
