Eschenbach visolux DIGITAL XL FHD electronic visual aid/reading aid with large 12" touchscreen display.The visolux DIGITAL HD is distinguished by its modern, functional features, its ergonomic design and its intuitive operation. The reflection-free 12" display offers a large field of view with excellent image quality and true-to-life colour rendering. With a screen diagonal of almost 30 cm, the device weighs only about one kilogram, making it the ideal solution for on the go and at home. The high-resolution camera ensures high-contrast and detailed images, and a large depth-of-field range allows a variable usage height. The magnification range extends from 12x to 125x and from 2x to 22x with a connected HD TV (e.g. 40"). The magnification can be adjusted continuously.
With the fold-out stand, an ergonomic viewing angle is achieved, enabling a comfortable reading posture and additionally writing beneath the device. The reading device can be placed and guided securely on the reading material; the centrally arranged camera, orientation and positioning aids, as well as ergonomic grip zones on the housing all contribute to this. The visolux DIGITAL HD is suitable for capturing two newspaper columns. A reading line or row that can be shown on screen can be activated for improved line guidance. At high magnifications, thanks to Dynamic Line Scrolling (DLS), no horizontal and vertical shifting of the device on the reading material is necessary. The reading area can be moved very easily at the touch of a button or via touchscreen, so you do not lose your orientation. In addition to the display in true colour, up to 14 adjustable contrast-enhanced false-colour modes are available. A powerful automatic exposure system ensures a pleasant balancing of ambient light.
Operation can be carried out via the direct buttons or via the touchscreen (which can be switched off), depending on preference. The direct buttons are clearly assigned and easy to feel. The clearly designed graphical menu allows the selection of advanced functions. Additional convenience is offered by the activatable, easily understandable voice output during menu navigation.
The image on the reading device can be saved very easily to the inserted SD card using the photo function. Via USB, the device can be connected to a computer in order to transfer photos saved on the SD card to the PC.
The visolux DIGITAL HD can also be used as a screen reader via the HDMI connection. To do this, the HDMI output of the reading device simply has to be connected to the HDMI input of a monitor or TV set. In this way, both the live image from the camera and saved image files can be played back on the connected device. With the additional HDMI input, an external camera, for example, can also be connected to the device in order to display the live image from the external camera.
