The Duo Azzurro floor globes are an elegant product from the house of Columbus. They can be used both illuminated and unilluminated. When unilluminated, you can marvel at the deep blue of the oceans. When illuminated, the map surprises with an astonishingly detailed seabed structure, depicting different depths, volcanoes and the ocean basins. Moreover, in its unilluminated state the globe shows a political map, whereas when used illuminated it shows a physical map.

The continents, too, are bordered with bright blue vignetting, which makes the entire appearance even more elegant and attractive. But these fascinating effects can be seen not only in the sea: on land as well, you will notice the harmoniously colour-coordinated countries and borders of the world, which, when illuminated, reveal three-dimensional, almost sculptural mountains and valleys. Each of these globes is unique, as the sphere is made of mouth-blown crystal glass and the map is laminated onto the sphere by hand.

The globe is OID-compatible, which means it features digital information on all countries and important oceans. As you approach the globe sphere with an optionally available audio pen, you will hear information on capitals, areas, population figures and so on, right through to the life expectancy of the population. Please note that the OID function is only supported by the Columbus explorer pen.
