The reflection-free 5-inch LCD display offers a large field of view. Magnification of up to 15x can be selected continuously or in steps using two haptic buttons.
The integrated stand is adjustable for three applications. When the stand is folded in, the device can be held in the hand for use. With the stand folded out, the magnifier can, for example, be placed on the reading material to read a newspaper. In the middle position of the stand, you can write or work beneath the display.
The menu offers an individual selection of functions such as a height-adjustable reading line or reading row, 14 selectable contrast-enhancing false-colour modes, the adjustment of display and LED brightness, or a blue-light filter. The menu also offers a setting for right- and left-handed users.
With the photo function, the live image seen through the magnifier can be saved as a photo in the internal device memory. Via the USB port, the images can also be transferred very easily to a computer.
Thanks to the additional HDMI output, the smartlux becomes a screen reader, i.e. the image from the magnifier can be transferred to a connected screen, for example a TV set.
