The CS234T is a 2-way ceiling speaker with a 6.5" fibreglass woofer and a swivelling titanium tweeter. The plastic frame creates an edgeless transition between the speaker and the ceiling.

Edgeless design

The plastic frame of the CS234T creates a seamless transition between the speaker and the ceiling. The textured white metal grille finishes flush — with no visible edge and no step from the ceiling surface.

Swivelling titanium tweeter

The 0.75" titanium tweeter can be aligned with the listening area after installation. This allows targeted sound alignment — regardless of where in the room you sit or where the speaker is placed in the ceiling.

Fibreglass cone

The 6.5" woofer uses a woven fibreglass cone with a rubber surround. The high stiffness of the material reduces cone resonances in the midrange and ensures controlled, low-distortion reproduction. The frequency response ranges from 70 Hz to 20,000 Hz at 60 W RMS / 120 W music power.

Easy installation

Rotating clamp hooks automatically catch behind the ceiling panel when tightened — no wall plugs, no drilling into beams or the ceiling structure. A drilling template for the ceiling cut-out is included in the scope of delivery. With an installation depth of 86 mm, the CS234T is suitable for common suspended ceilings.

Flexible use

The CS234T is a passive 8 Ohm speaker, compatible with common low-impedance amplifiers. For operation with Bluetooth streaming, it can be combined with the Lyndahl AMP4X15BT — the amplifier can be installed in a space-saving manner within the ceiling cavity.

Frequently asked questions about this product

What distinguishes the CS200P, CS200S and CS234T?

The CS200P is the proven all-rounder (5.25", 80 W), the CS200S the successor generation with a pivoting tweeter and once again better sound, and the CS234T with its 6.5" diaphragm and titanium tweeter the model with the largest reserve for bigger rooms. All three: 8 ohms, 2-way.

Are spare parts and individual speakers available?

Yes. Cover grilles are available individually as spare parts, and a single speaker can also be purchased later — as a replacement or extension. Just contact our service.

Can I connect several speakers or pairs to one amplifier?

In principle yes — impedance is the deciding factor. Both channels should carry the same load, and the total impedance must not fall below the amplifier minimum: with identical speakers, parallel wiring halves the value, series wiring doubles it. The AMP4X15BT is designed for four speakers out of the box.

How large does the ceiling cut-out need to be?

Guide values: CS200P template 180 mm (min. approx. 172 mm), CS200S 176 mm, CS180IP 135–137 mm, CS195ST 174 mm, CS120AL 106 mm; mounting depths 63–85 mm. The cutting template included in the box is always authoritative — if you print a PDF template, measure the inner circle first.

May the speaker go into the bathroom or outdoors?

Into the bathroom, in principle yes — as long as no water spray hits the speaker directly and the room is ventilated normally. Closer to the water and in covered outdoor areas, the CS180IP with IP44 protection is the right choice. We give no approval for saunas — adhesive joints come apart there.

Which speaker cable should I use, and how do I connect it cleanly?

For new runs use 1 to 2.5 mm²; the amplifier-to-speaker run should not much exceed 10 m. Extending by twisting or with a terminal block is fine — just get the polarity right. Bare strands fray: ferrules for clamp terminals, banana plugs or spades for binding posts.

How many watts do I really need?

Fewer than the numbers suggest: there is no direct relationship between wattage and sound — low notes need diaphragm area, not watts. Two speakers cover about 40 m² well, four are enough for around 75 m² of background sound.

How much bass does a built-in speaker deliver?

Less than a floorstander, more than most people expect — what decides it is cone area and the air volume behind the driver. The same driver sounds leaner in an open ceiling void than in a closed cavity; a back box or an insulated suspended ceiling audibly adds foundation. Mounted close to a wall or a corner you gain further low end. If you really want punch, a compact speaker such as the SB242M on the wall or a separate subwoofer is the honest route rather than more watts — power is no substitute for cone area.
