100 pieces of hard gold-plated wire end ferrules from Lyndahl.

The wire end ferrules are used for the professional connection of speaker cables and can be selected in three different versions: optionally for speaker cables with 1.5 mm² / 2.5 mm² or 4 mm² cross-section.
Material: gold-plated copper

100 wire end ferrules of the selected cross-section are packed in a bag.

A special crimping tool (LKL100) is required for assembly with the speaker cable. You can also find this item in our range.

Frequently asked questions about this product

Which speaker cable should I use, and how do I connect it cleanly?

For new runs use 1 to 2.5 mm²; the amplifier-to-speaker run should not much exceed 10 m. Extending by twisting or with a terminal block is fine — just get the polarity right. Bare strands fray: ferrules for clamp terminals, banana plugs or spades for binding posts.

How do I split and strip speaker cable sold by the metre?

With twin cable the transparent jacket forms a web between the two conductors. Pull the two apart by hand at the end instead of cutting around the cable — the web tears cleanly and no strands are nicked. Then strip about 8 to 10 mm, twist the strands and lead them into the clamp or terminal. In spring clamps and screw terminals ferrules keep the strands together; we stock them to match the 1.5 mm² cable in packs of 10 and 100. Do not tin the ends: solder flows under pressure and the clamped joint works loose over time.

Can I connect several speakers or pairs to one amplifier?

In principle yes — impedance is the deciding factor. Both channels should carry the same load, and the total impedance must not fall below the amplifier minimum: with identical speakers, parallel wiring halves the value, series wiring doubles it. The AMP4X15BT is designed for four speakers out of the box.
