The SB242M is a 5.25" compact speaker for wall mounting in commercial interiors. Its frequency response from 104 Hz to 20,000 Hz cleanly covers the entire speech and music range — with a particular focus on clear mids and precise highs for announcements and background music.

Technology

The bass-midrange driver uses a PP cone, a rubber surround and a 25.9 mm voice coil in a T-yoke drive. This design ensures even guidance of the voice coil within the magnetic field and reduces non-linear distortion in continuous operation. The tweeter uses a Mylar dome with an NdFeB magnet — a maintenance-free, durable pairing of materials for continuous use.

The PP cone and rubber surround are mechanically robust and insensitive to temperature fluctuations in indoor environments.

Mounting

The wall bracket is permanently fitted to the housing and is swivelling, so that the direction of projection can be adjusted after mounting. Fixing is done directly to the wall — without ceiling cut-outs or recessed installation work. As each speaker is sold individually, the number of units can be matched precisely to the room geometry and zone layout.

System integration

The SB242M can be operated directly with the Lyndahl AMP4X15BT. This 4-channel Bluetooth amplifier enables music streaming via smartphone or playback via AUX, powers up to four speakers via separate channels and can be installed in a space-saving manner in suspended ceilings or furniture — a turnkey combination for the hospitality sector, offices or retail.
